AI AND THE FUTURE OF THE CREATIVE

It is an exciting and scary time to be a creative! For those of us that have spent decades honing our skill sets acquiring the education along with student debt, we soon could be obsolete. With AI creation tools now anyone that can spell can generate amazing art, stories and videos with a simple prompt. I have been immersed in the AI generation software for the past 3 weeks and have been blown away by the results. I have now a million ideas rumbling around in my head. To know that this technology can assist with the creations of new assets and will reduce my creative process immensely is mind blowing. This will allow more time to generate new content at the speed of light.

But with this newly found creation tool comes the process of figuring out how to monetize the assets you create. What happens to copyright laws, intellectual property and the list goes on and on. The images that you see throughout this post were created by AI. With a detailed description that I typed into a prompt box. The software has created close to what I was imagining. Is it truly my image, is it my creation. Or am I feeding my ideas into an evil new cyborg that will eventually make me as a creative obsolete and destroy the world? As you can hear have mixed feelings about this new technology. But it’s here and is not going anywhere and is only going to get better.

I guess it’s only beneficial for creatives to embrace the change and utilize it. By combining our knowledge and skill sets you can now take your creativity to the next level.
